F4 Polish-Piper

I saw this on F4 Polish's Etsy site and knew I had to have it.  Love purple in any form.  I layered it over Zoya Mimi.

So pretty.  Applied flawlessly.  This was one coat of Mimi and two of Piper.

Loved looking at my fingernails all day.  Here is a peek in sunlight....

Piper is comprised of Various size white matte glitters along with medium light purple or lilac glitters and dark purple or magenta glitters.  Here is a close up.

You can buy F4 Polish on their Etsy site. I have purchased 17 F4 Polishes in all.  So far, I have tried 5 and have loved them all (I have only blogged about three so far).  Can't wait to try the rest.

Summer Challenge-Fruits

I did a watermelon on my pinky for the picnic challenge and loved it. It used Zoya Zuza for the rind and the color was fabulous. I decided to give myself a break and do something traditional. Love watermelon.

I know Zuza isn't really rind color but I love any excuse I can find to use it.  Of course, I will regret it when the bottle is empty.

Utopia Polish-Gumdrops

When I first saw gumdrops in the Utopia Polish's Etsy site, I was in awe.  It was like flexible gummy glitters.  I had to try it out.  And in person???  Just like flexible gummy glitters.  It is very strange stuff but very cool.  I decided to do a mani with China Glaze's Pink Plumeria as a base.  Mainly because I had the idea to do the accent nail like a gumdrop using some white and clear loose glitters.

The thing about the glitter is that it has amazing color but is almost translucent at the same time. So, when they overlap, it changes the colors of the glitters.

This second pic shows the look in the sunshine.  You can see some of the effect of overlap on the index finger.

The drawback of Gum Drops.......very hard to get out of the bottle.  You must fish for these glitters.  Once you got them...they set nice on the nail but it does take some work.  The effect though???....incredible!!

You can look for Gum Drops on Utopia's Etsy site here. You have to keep a watch for it because it goes fast.

Lazy Days of Summer-Flip Flops

Love this look.  I wanted to showcase various skintones here so I used a variety of bases including Color Club's Love 'em or Leave 'em which I am referring to as my Snookie bronzer skin tone.  Take a look.

Unfortunately, it was pouring rain outside so I was stuck with indoor photos.

Summer Challenge-Palm Trees

Actually I should say palm tree (singular) since I only made one.  This was a test to see if i could free hand a palm tree.  Came out good.  The right hand...not so good but decent.  I did a sunset gradient for the background......

Makes me think of the Caribbean.  Love it there.  Pretty much any place in the Caribbean would be nice.  I'm not picky. :)

Amy's Nail Boutique-Gingham

I got drawn into the Indie polish craze quickly.  I was just in awe about how amazing some of these polishes are.  Like nothing else you can buy in any store.  I was immediately caught up in matte glitter but have expanded into others over time.  I also have been watching (at a safe distance) the controversy in the indie polish community.  There are some Indie Polish creators that have turned me off completely and I don't intend to purchase their polish.  Some, however have proven to have great products and fantastic customer service.  here is one of them....Amy from Amy's Nail Boutique.  This is Gingham layered over Liquid Leather.

This is a bit thin with glitters, which I tend to prefer.  Sometimes too much glitter is hard to apply.  It gives you the option to go light and see the beauty of the polish beneath.  Or you can just add more layers.  This was two layers.

I even love her cute labels.  She ships immediately and you are practically grabbing it from your mailbox the next morning. :)

The glitters placed on there own and without any fishing from the bottle.

Gorgeous.  Just red and white glitters in two sizes.  Loving these textured glitters now.  They remind me so much of Ruffles potato chips.

You can find Amy's stuff at her Etsy store called Amy's Nail Boutique.

Summer Challenge-Favorite Summer Song

I thought about this challenge item for two weeks solid.  I talked about it with my boyfriend for the entire trip to Cape Cod.  I had no idea what my favorite summer song was.  Even the few I could come up with didn't translate well to fingernails.  One day on the weekend I was sitting on my deck painting my nails and I heard it..........MY FAVORITE SUMMER SONG!!!!!

I abandoned the mani I was working on and went straight to work. (Well, after I ran for my purse and chased the truck around the corner)
