Let It Snow Challenge-St. Patrick's Day

Last challenge item.  After this post, I am trimming my nails and starting on a new project.  I will tell you more about that soon.  Today is St. Patrick's Day.  I used Illamasqua Muse for the base and some glitter for the strips.  This is loose glitter from my friend Jessi who owns an Etsy Shop called JesssiGeeWhiz.  Her glitter comes in plain colors and she has specialty mixes that are amazing.  They are solvent resistant so you can use them to franken your own polishes too.  This glitter mix is called Bling.  I love it.  Photos can's capture the sparkle....

Let It Snow Challenge-Longing For Summer

Some of you might know that I participate in the Digit-al Dozen which is a small group of bloggers that does a different monthly theme.  I also am in The Nail Challenge Collaborative which is another amazing group of women that I have gotten to know over the past year.  I have been laid up over the past week so I only made one of the required posts for the geek week.  I am also behind a week for the Let It Snow Challenge so I combined a manicure for the two.  This theme was longing for summer so I used the pastels from the newest Sinful Colors Collection for spring and I added some Periodic Table of Element Tiles to form the word Bazinga in honor of The Big Bang Theory and Geek week.  Enjoy....

Digit-al Dozen Does Geek Week-Star Trek

I really love participating in this group because they are such a fantastically talented group of ladies but this week has been rough for me.  I have had chronic problems with my back and recently the condition has worsened  I had to have a steroid injection done on Monday and it really threw me for a loop.  I have been out of work and in a great deal of pain so my posts have been put on the back burner.  I decided to try and at least get a few in so I could participate with the group.  How could I do geek week without Star Trek, and more importantly, The Enterprise.....

And, if you are wondering what is on my thumb.....

Let it Snow Challenge-Winter Blues

Zoya Pixie Polish Gradient was the way to go for this challenge.  The reason is because the black and blue really remind me of the winter sky most days.  Kind of drab and together, they are a little depressing after seeing it day after day for a few months.  Will there ever be sun?????????

Let It Snow Challenge-Winter Gradient

My favorite nail design to do when I don't have a lot of time and want something really classy is a glitter reverse gradient.  This is using Essie Lilacism and Different Dimension's Emily.  I just love the look of this....

Let It Snow Challenge-Winter Wonderland

I have already done a few Winter scenes this season so I decided to do this one the way I like them best......on a clear winter night when it is lightly snowing.  I used Cult Nails Nevermore for the base and then Amy's Nail Boutique's Frosty for the sparkly snow falling from the sky.  I will be glad when we move on because I am READY for SPRING!!!!

Let It Snow Challenge-Valentine's Day

I am falling behind in my challenge.  After doing the Digit-al Dozen this week, which consisted of five V-day manicures,I really didn't want to have to do another one but here it is.  This is Cult Nails Nevermore and Zoya Gei Gei.  I did a skittle with various embellishments in different shades of pink.  This was actually wearable believe it or not.  No top coat on anything.
