Pahlish Train Underwater

This has been on my wish list for quite a while and I was super excited when Jaclyn from The Life, Times and Lacquers of Lilmoon contacted me to let me know that I won it. It did not disappoint at all. I had put on OPI DS Magic (which is fantastic BTW) and I decided to leave it as a base for Train Underwater.  This is only one coat and it is beautiful......

500 Follower Giveaway-Color Club Halo Hues

What a fun ride this has been for me.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it.  I love blogging and following other blogs but have made really amazing friendships through this process as well.  I committed that I would give away something at each 100 followers so here we are again.  I thought long and hard about what to get and since many of you are lemming the new Color Club Halo Hues, I decided it would be a good fit.  I was lucky enough to find them at a local beauty supply shop for 4.95 a piece.  I did a group buy twice and bought them out completely.  This is what the display looked like that I brought up to the counter...........

I think the sales girl thought I was nuts. I included one extra set for my followers to have a chance at.  If you want to see swatches of these, you can find them here.  Sorry there was no sun that day but trust me....they are amazing.

Enter below, you have until November 7, 2012 at midnight to enter.  International followers are welcome.

Fall Into Autumn Challenge-Halloween

So, I gave up on the daily posts.  After about day 18, I realized I was posting crap just to keep up and I don't want to do that.  I enjoy showcasing polishes I love, doing challenges and focusing on nail art but too much at once just gets you a little burned out.  So, the next item on the challenge list is ironically Halloween.  I have one more Halloween design left.  Here is is.......

Fall Into Autumn Challenge-Gradient

I used my favorites for this autumn looking gradient.  ENCHANTED POLISH!!!!  I love this polish.  It is super holo and super pigmented.  Which means it looks great even when you are not in the sunlight.  I used Sour Patch Kid, Dragon Spit and Cranberry Cosmo. They seemed like fall colors to me. Then I stamped on the top with a leaf pattern.  Of course.....no sun when I put it on, or the next day....

F4 Polish Drunken Zombie

I was on the fence about this polish when it came in the Halloween Collection.  I liked the complexity of the color but I was sure it would make my hands look as if they belonged on a zombie.  It didn't turn out too bad.  No base coat of color here, just two coats of Drunken Zombie....

Spider Webs on a Holo

This Halloween design was a request from my controller Sue.  She showed me a picture from the Internet of spiderwebs on a black background.  I liked the image but thought it needed more depth so I broke out my Color Club Revvolution.  It is an amazing holographic polish that looks black, grey and sometimes even a little green in certain lights.  I topped it off with BM13 and plain old Konad White. I took pictures in various indoor lighting since there was no sun...AGAIN!!!!

Amy's Nail Boutique Tiger Lilly

This polish I purchased as part of a collection from Amy on her Etsy site.  I love this collection she based on flowers.  It really is a summer polish but I have yet to try it out and thought it made a fitting choice to layer over black for Halloween.  This is over China Glaze Liquid Leather.  Only one coat of Tiger Lilly and it went on beautifully like all of Amy's polishes.....

Candy Corn....how could I not???

It wouldn't be Halloween without candy corn.  I know you have seen it a hundred times but this simple classic is one of my favorites.  This is a sponged gradient using Milani White On The Spot, Cult Nails Feel Me Up and Zoya Arizona.  What more can I say about it??

Halloween Argyle

If it wasn't for the fact that I am so busy right now and am fully committed to doing a Halloween post every day, I would not post this at all.  I would consider this a failed attempt at argyle.  Love the colors, ManGlaze trio of Butt Taco, Mink Mitten and Fuggen Ugly.  The problem was in the execution.  The stripes were not opaque enough so went over them thicker and it really ruined the look.  I should have dragged out my tried and true black stripper and went over them with that.  Next time......

Fall Into Autumn Challenge-Pumpkins

I got another Halloween recommendation from my co-worker's daughters (Tiffany and Emily if you don't follow me regularly).  I thought this was a good one to link back up with my challenge group.  Snoopy sitting on a pumpkin.  I used Milani White On The Spot for the base and a Zoya Arizona for the orange along with a few acrylic paints for shading.

F4 Green Goblin

Before I show you today's post, I wanted to let you know that my friend Jaclyn over at The Life, Times and Lacquers of Lilmoon if trying to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer.  She has an amazing array of Indie Polishes available and plans to raffle them off to participants who donate money to this important cause.  Please take a minute to check out the details here.

Now, today I wanted to showcase another polish from F4 Polish called Green Goblin.  It is also from their Halloween collection. I debated for quite a while on what to use as undies for this and settled on Butter London's Marrow.  I am thrilled with the outcome.  Two coats of Marrow with only one coat of Green Goblin.  Gorgeous.....

Graveyard

Here is another of Tiffany and Emily's suggestions for my Halloween nail art.  I am trying to do all of them but they picked some really challenging stuff.  Maybe it will push me to get better.....I can hope.  This is a graveyard scene that was done by using a gradient of Sally Hansen Mightly Mango, Zoya Arizona and Milani Black Swift was used for the detail.

ManGlaze Lesbihonest for Breast Cancer

Is there a more appropriate background to showcase a manicure in honor of breast cancer awareness than ManGlaze's Lesbihonest?  I can't think of any.  This is two coats of ManGlaze followed by some stamping in Konad white and an accent of dots with ManGlaze and Zoya Barbie..

In honor of friends and co-workers who have battled this disease.

KB Shimmer Orange Pop

I am in love with this color.  I bought this over the summer and it is a great summer color but makes an even better Halloween Polish.  If you have not checked out KB Shimmer's products, you must!!!!  Not only are her polishes super unique, she has an amazing collection of soaps, scrubs and bath bombs.  I am in love with her bath bombs.  They are amazing!!!!!!  Orange Pop is a gorgeous orange jelly with a variety of glitters different sizes and colors.

Now, on to more important matters, my cousin's daughter Ruby's birthday is this month and I asked Melissa from Liquid Lacquer (formerly 2Chix) if she could make me a set of her Princess Polish Collection.  Well, she received it today in the mail and was thrilled.  She proceeded to try one on every finger and insisted that her mom take a picture holding each bottle just like I do on my blog.  Here is a few...........she's a natural right?

ManGlaze Butt Taco Halloween Design

I can't get enough of ManGlaze.  I just love their stuff.  The matte finishes rock but when you throw on a top coat, it is absolutely fantastic.  Continuing with my daily Halloween posts, I did a design that my co-workers kids found online for me to recreate.  Not sure if Tiffany or Emily found this one but it is really classy, cute and was simple. I would have been happy with the design had I used another polish but with ManGlaze......It became a home run!!!!

Fall Into Autumn Challenge-Autumn Leaves

OK, back with a challenge post.  This challenge theme was autumn leaves.  I had this done a few weeks ago after I received my ManGlaze order in the mail because I couldn't wait to try it.  Once I got it on, it seemed like a great foundation for some shimmery stamping.  This is ManGlaze NawSome Sauce as a base and Color Club Antiquated and Hot Like Lava stamped over the top with various types of leaves.....

Color Club Halo Hues Collection Swatches

Taking a break from Halloween designs today to do two posts.  Later, I will show you my Autumn Challenge design but right now I have the long awaited for Color Club Halo Hues Collection.  I have been waiting impatiently for these to come out and found them today at my local beauty supply shop for $4.95.  THAT'S RIGHT.....$4.95.  Not, the $10.00 price they are asking for online.  I bought one of each but I was not excited when I saw the bottles.  It looked VERY disappointing in the bottle.  Thankfully, once it got on the nail, it was better.  Unfortunately, there is not one stitch of sun today in New York so you are getting indoor shots under lamplight but you will still be able to see the holoy-goodness.

Here are all of them swatched on a nail wheel....

Cherubic, Angel Kiss, Halo-Graphic, Harp On It, Blue Heaven and Cloud Nine

Cherubic is a pale tan-brownish color.....

Angel kiss is a lighter green that is one of the more pigmented shades of the bunch.  But....very hard to capture on camera.........

Halo-Graphic is a dark pink or Mauve color that is the most pigmented of the group.  For that reason, it was my favorite because it really stood out from the rest........

Harp On It is a very light silver that will no doubt make an amazing top coat over any color.......

Blue Heaven is also more pigmented but not tremendously so as you can see by the nail wheel.  Next to Harp On It, they look relatively similar.  Less similar in person though...............

And last but not least, we have Cloud Nine which is a very pale pink color.  Very little pigment in this one but super pretty...........

That's it folks, sorry there was no sun today or I could have taken better pictures.  I'll catch up with you later with my Autumn leaves design.....
