April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge-#3-Glitter Sammie

OK, much discussion over this item on the challenge list.  I was glad to hear I was not the only one who did not know what a jelly polish was.  Sadly, I was probably the ONLY one who didn't know what a glitter sammy was.  And, for the record, I do not own any jelly polishes.  Although, I am getting better at identifying them so I will be on the lookout.  I went with the best that I could find.

I used Wishful Pinking by Loreal and Lavender by Milani.  Love purple in any shade or texture.  I think that will always be my favorite.

So, this was all a great lesson for me. The only thing I have left to understand is......what does "it looks squishy" mean?????????

Anyway, please feel free to stop over and check out the contributions of the other ladies, amazing designs they have created.......

    1. Maybe with holding the ribbon? I can't believe the ribbon had the same glitter in it as the polish.

  4. Yay I love jelly sandwiches! Gorgeous first sandwich! I normally don't talk about the "squishy-ness" of a jelly polish, but I'll try to explain it. Because jellies are sheer, they end up looking super shiny and almost like jello. You know how you could press your finger into jello and your finger would just bounce back? Sort of like that: squishy. Okay, I have no idea if that makes any sense. Lol!

    1. Sorry Jess. Fixed it. I loved the showers. I did something similar but without the rhinestones. I am not happy with it so I am not sure if I will post it or try something else. :(

  9. Beautiful manicure. I'm not even a purple girl and this made me really want Milani Lavender. And ditto Kayono's comment, my first thought was 'this looks like beautiful lace.' I've never done a glitter sandwich, and I can't believe this is your first try, great job!! I'll have to try it out one of these days...

I love your blog, and I gave you an award here :)
